OUR COMMUNITY

 

The plot holders at Grandison Road allotments are a diverse range of ages and nationalities. We have many children who have a safe place to be and learn about fruit and veg and get a chance to see a range of wildlife.

There are a lot of pensioners who have a place to grow their own food and there is always company, someone to talk to. You are never alone when you have an allotment. People are friendly here and we share seedlings and produce.

The Society supports members in pursuit of their gardening activities fostering an awareness of the benefits of growing and eating fresh vegetables. Membership is open to any local resident who is interested in gardening.

Our aim to encourage local residents to use the allotments and discover the many benefits that come with the ownership of your own piece of land to dig in and grow your own!
