Permission for Barbecues on your

allotment

You now have permission to use barbecues. Yay!!!
This is common council shared land so rules apply. If any of the following rules are
broken your personal permission will be revoked.


 Make sure your barbecue is in good working order it can be GAS or CHARCOAL
ONLY not composted material that would cause unwanted smoke.


 Ensure the barbecue is on a flat site, well away from a shed, trees or shrubs


 Keep children, garden games and pets well away from the cooking area


 Never leave the barbecue unattended


 Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby for emergencies


 Ensure the barbecue is cool before attempting to move it


 Do not create a nuisance with neighbours, be respectful.


 Barbecues are to be used for cooking purposes only this is NOT permission for a
bonfire.


 Be careful of loose flammable clothing while cooking.
