Grandison Road Allotment Society Rules – December 2016

1. All members must observe the conditions laid down in the Tenancy Agreement.  A copy will be displayed in the clubhouse at all times for inspection.

2.  All new tenants will be subject to a ‘three month’ probationary period.

3.  You must not enter another plot without permission. Removing items belonging to another plot holder or Grandison Road Allotment Society will result in the issuing of a ‘Notice to Quit’. The Society may also report this matter to Merseyside Police.

4.    The society will not tolerate anti-social behaviour, physically or verbal intimidation or behaviour deemed to be racist. Such actions will result in the serving of a ‘Notice to Quit’ thus terminating membership.

5.  Plot holders must attend their plot when another person is carrying out work or routine maintenance. Plot holders will receive a ‘warning’ if volunteers are working unsupervised on the plot with the plot holders knowledge.

6.   Hose pipes must only be used to fill water storage butts and for no other purpose, except in circumstances accepted by the committee. In times of official drought, the use of hosepipes is banned and water supply will cease.

7.  No vehicles are allowed on site. No vehicle is allowed to park across the entrance gates, while the gates must be kept locked at all times.

8. Burning is permitted in November and must not cause annoyance to local householders and other tenants. Fires must not be left unattended.

9. Any person who feels unable to manage their plot must seek the advice of the Committee-in-Charge.

10. Membership fees and plot rents must be paid by tenants to the Treasurer by the end of the first week in February (Tenancy runs from 1st January to 31st December annually).

11. Tenants must advise the committee in writing of any change of address as soon as possible. Telephone numbers given to the Secretary or Treasurer will not be divulged to third parties without specific reason.

12. Plot Holders are responsible for their entire plot, and must remove all rubbish before giving up their plot and leaving our society.
The rules must be considered with the terms and conditions of the Tenancy Agreement.

13. I agree with and promise to uphold the constitution, the GDPR Policy, the harassment policy, the allotment shed, and buildings policy. (Copies of documents are available in the clubhouse for inspection.)

The rules must be signed and agreed before signing your Tenancy Agreement.
